Hello, I am Alice the doula!
Birth is my passion! As your
doula, it is my goal to help you have a safe and satisfying childbirth as you
define it. Birth is such an important and memorable life
experience. I would like the opportunity
to help make that experience a positive one for you and your partner.
A woman's satisfaction with her birth
experiences seems to improve when a doula helps her with childbirth. Research has shown that the presence of a
doula during labor and childbirth can reduce the length of labor, decrease the
use of interventions, and decrease the need for medication.*
I will
- Provide information to help you make decisions that are best for you
- Get to know you and develop our relationship prior to your going into labor
- Be your constant emotional support
- Help show you how birth is an incredible rite of passage and not a medical procedure
- Be your biggest supporter!

- Perform any medical procedures
- Make decisions for you
- Project my values or goals onto you
- Take the place of your partner or baby's father
- Give up on you!
